Surah Al-Mursalat (Those Sent Forth) 77

1. وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا
77|1|By those unleashed in succession.
2. فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا
77|2|Storming turbulently.
3. وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا
77|3|Scattering far and wide.
4. فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا
77|4|Separating decisively.
5. فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا
77|5|Delivering a message.
6. عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
77|6|Excusing or warning.
7. إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ
77|7|Surely what you are promised will happen.
8. فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
77|8|When the stars are obliterated.
9. وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ فُرِجَتْ
77|9|And the sky is fractured.
10. وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
77|10|And the mountains are blown away.
11. وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
77|11|And the messengers are alerted.
12. لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
77|12|Until which day is it deferred?
13. لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ
77|13|Until the Day of Decision.
14. وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ
77|14|And what will teach you what the Day of Decision is?
15. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77|15|Woe on that Day to the liars.
16. أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ
77|16|Did We not destroy the ancients?
17. ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ
77|17|Then succeeded them with the others?
18. كَذَلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ
77|18|This is how We deal with the guilty.
19. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77|19|Woe on that Day to the rejecters.
20. أَلَمْ نَخْلُقْكُمْ مِنْ مَاءٍ مَهِينٍ
77|20|Did We not create you from an insignificant fluid?
21. فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَكِينٍ
77|21|Then lodged it in a secure place?
22. إِلَى قَدَرٍ مَعْلُومٍ
77|22|For a known term?
23. فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ
77|23|We measured precisely. We are the best to measure.
24. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77|24|Woe on that Day to the falsifiers.
25. أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
77|25|Did We not make the earth a homestead?
26. أَحْيَاءً وَأَمْوَاتًا
77|26|For the living and the dead?
27. وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمْ مَاءً فُرَاتًا
77|27|And set on it lofty mountains, and given you pure water to drink?
28. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77|28|Woe on that Day to the deniers.
29. انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى مَا كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
77|29|“Proceed to what you used to deny.”
30. انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ
77|30|“Proceed to a shadow of three different masses.”
31. لَا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ
77|31|Offering no shade, and unavailing against the flames.
32. إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ
77|32|It shoots sparks as castles.
33. كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ
77|33|As if they were yellow camels.
34. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77|34|Woe on that Day to the liars.
35. هَذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنْطِقُونَ
77|35|This is a Day when they will not speak.
36. وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
77|36|And they will not be allowed to apologize.
37. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77|37|Woe on that Day to the rejecters.
38. هَذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ
77|38|This is the Day of Separation; We have gathered you, together with the ancients.
39. فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
77|39|So if you have a strategy, use it against Me.
40. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77|40|Woe on that Day to the falsifiers.
41. إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ
77|41|The righteous will be amidst shades and fountains.
42. وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
77|42|And fruits as they desire.
43. كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
77|43|“Eat and drink pleasantly, for what you used to do.”
44. إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
77|44|This is how We reward the doers of good.
45. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77|45|Woe on that Day to the deniers.
46. كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُمْ مُجْرِمُونَ
77|46|“Eat and enjoy yourselves a little; you are indeed criminals.”
47. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77|47|Woe on that Day to the liars.
48. وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
77|48|And when it is said to them, “Kneel”, they do not kneel.
49. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
77|49|Woe on that Day to the rejecters.
50. فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ
77|50|In what message, beyond this, will they believe?
