Surah Al-Layl (the Night) 92

1. وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى
92|1|By the night as it covers.
2. وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّى
92|2|And the day as it reveals.
3. وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنْثَى
92|3|And He who created the male and the female.
4. إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّى
92|4|Your endeavors are indeed diverse.
5. فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَى وَاتَّقَى
92|5|As for him who gives and is righteous.
6. وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَى
92|6|And confirms goodness.
7. فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَى
92|7|We will ease his way towards ease.
8. وَأَمَّا مَنْ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَى
92|8|But as for him who is stingy and complacent.
9. وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَى
92|9|And denies goodness.
10. فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَى
92|10|We will ease his way towards difficulty.
11. وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّى
92|11|And his money will not avail him when he plummets.
12. إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَى
92|12|It is upon Us to guide.
13. وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْآخِرَةَ وَالْأُولَى
92|13|And to Us belong the Last and the First.
14. فَأَنْذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّى
92|14|I have warned you of a Fierce Blaze.
15. لَا يَصْلَاهَا إِلَّا الْأَشْقَى
92|15|None will burn in it except the very wicked.
16. الَّذِي كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّى
92|16|He who denies and turns away.
17. وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْأَتْقَى
92|17|But the devout will avoid it.
18. الَّذِي يُؤْتِي مَالَهُ يَتَزَكَّى
92|18|He who gives his money to become pure.
19. وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِنْدَهُ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ تُجْزَى
92|19|Seeking no favor in return.
20. إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْأَعْلَى
92|20|Only seeking the acceptance of his Lord, the Most High.
21. وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَى
92|21|And he will be satisfied.
